watch Grip & Electric Dept - Film Job Descriptions

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7QA_MthtlU

a new podcast series focusing on helping people understand the jobs on bigger movie sets. The Grip/Electric Departments get examined in this episode.

Featuring the lovely and beautiful Brandy Seymour as our host. No reason to see another bearded fat guy when you can see a hot chick instead.

This is fast and informative, great bang for the viewing buck.
Where can the rest of the series be found?

thanks guys!

Working on the rest of the series. This is just the first one to get edited and finished. Plenty more where that came from.

AD's, Script Supervisor/Continuity, and more coming up soon.

I'm still figuring out how to get these out as an official podcast. Any links on the basics? I have a text RSS feed, but would rather do the MP4's that are downloadable, etc.

Well, Basically you just have to specify the video files as an enclosure within the rss feed..

The format for the rss feed's xml file would be like this:
Code:

Cat Paws

Episode One: Here Comes the Tabby

Read this how to create a podcast article first, then supplement the knowledge gleaned from it with this how to create a video podcast article.

FINALLY

I have incorporated these into the PBS show FRAMELINES we're doing...Here is the one on the AD department!

Sonnyboo,

Definitely informative. I've been shooting for 6+ years, and I still to this day, do not understand many of the roles and what the job titles in larger productions actually mean. Thanks for sharing! Thanks for responding to my post as well!

Like most things on a movie set, these definitions are loose and are defined by each production. Some people can be critical of how these videos are so light on exposition and explanation, but they are basic concepts, not a holy bible of crew.

thanks for watching.
