The IAFOR International Documentary Film Award

The International Academic Forum, a non-profit organization operating out of Japan, is hosting a media and film conference joint with an international documentary film award this November.

This is the third year that IAFOR has supported a film competition - further info can be found at http://filmaward.iafor.org. For those interested in documentary filmmaking, I encourage you to take a look.

Submission deadline: October 1, 2014

Prizes on offer include $1000 USD, a critique and mentoring session with a three-time Emmy award winner and a registration waiver for a media and film conference. We're inviting submissions from amateurs and professionals worldwide and hoping to see a representation of as many cultures as possible.

There are three formats you can enter based on run-times (total run time includes titles and credits): Mini-Documentary: under 20 minutes, Short Documentary: between 20 and 60 minutes, and Feature-Length Documentary: over 60 minutes.
