Wedding Filming...

Hi Guys,

Firstly i am from the Uk, and i dont know how things differ in the USA...

I have done a couple of weddings for friends of a friend etc, just covered expenses etc.

Next year i hope to move into wedding filming on a much more regular basis.... the big question is what kind of insurance do i ned... to cover me?

Any help would be great!

You might want to investigate WPPI online . ( Wedding & Portrait Photographers International ) They have resources exclusively for Wedding shooters. they also have a magazine US only I think, however might hve a UK offering as well

I do believe I've never been to a wedding. How strange.

To your question, i'm not entirely sure as to what would cover you, it's not a profession I've happened to be involved in. Although, i would imagine you would be covered for the basics.

Public liability insurance.
Equipment cover.

However, i also found this from a Google search. Do note i have no former knowledge of their business, nor do i know anybody who has dealt with them previous. Meaning i couldn't reccomend them if it was necessary too, but there is no harm in asking for a quote i would imagine.
