Sony Vegas Video Noise Reduction

Hey guys, just wanted to share a process I figured out on how to reduce video noise using sony vegas pro 10 only. Here is the video I made real quick on the before and after.

As it will show I created a preset up for download that you will need as well as creating a duplicate video layer under the main video. You then can apply the preset to the top layer, adjust where need be, then for the second layer change its compositing mode to Difference Squared. This will bring out the flesh tone in the faces. Let me know if you try this and it works for you.

Here is some screen shots of before and after.

Well I made another noise reduction preset. This one uses the Free Cartoonr plugin from NewBlueFX as part of it. Plus it does a pretty good job as making nasty noise look a lot less noticable. Check it out and watch it in 1080p to get a real idea of the results. The preset is on my website listed in the video. Also this preset does not require a second layer, just slap it on the video and your good to go other than tweaking it to your needs. Let me know how it works for any of you.

Couple screens at 6400 ISO, 1/60 shutter and 1.8 f-stop with 50mm lens. No lights on in the room other than light shining in through a doorway.
