$25 DIY Boom Pole?

and just wanted to know what you think of it. obviously it doesn't look professional and it's funny looking but hey it's a boom pole. just wanted to know what your opinions are about it, would you use it outside for public, etc.

I would offer to get something other than rubber bands, mebbe some rubber o-rings and you could notch cut the pcv for the o-rings and forget about the cable clips and ty-wraps. the pole looks light enough. Good enough for beginning IMO

Matte black spray paint... and perhaps cutting some holes in the PVC joint would make it look quite good and be a goodly chunk lighter... I thought this was a really good looking DIY boom compared to many I've seen (and made).

I just use a 20 dollar mic stand I bought from Best Buy haha. I just unfold it, take off 2 of the legs so it's just one giant pole. Works quite well haha.
