watch Battle of the shells - Chapter 1 - She sells sea shells by the sea shore

Hi.

I made a 7 episode doc series about a fish from Lake Tanganyika. I think people who already like this kind of fish will like the documentary, but I'm unsure about it's appeal to another type of audience.

(don't forget to turn the subtitles on on the little triangle at the bottom right corner of the youtube window)

Here is the 1st chapter: "Battle of the shells - Chapter 1 - She sells sea shells by the sea shore"

This is my first attempt at a documentary and I filmed 6 fish for over 1200 hours.

Thanks in advance for the comments.

I made a 57 minute version of the whole series and I submitted it to a few festivals.

Just when I was starting to think about selling DVD's to pharmacies as an aid for people who suffer from insomnia, I got my first acceptance in a festival:

I have both the series and the 57 minute version on youtube and vimeo, but the festival says on their website:

The multi-platform exhibition provides content creators an innovative distribution outlet allowing them to directly monetize their films through our Video on Demand (VOD) partnerships, along with other avenues.

Hmmm... what should I do about this? I already had given up on the idea of making any money with this.
