On behalf of Spectrum for Living, I am excited to announce the organization's 2013 Short Film Contest. By having this Contest, we are able to engage with the communities in which our clients, adults with developmental disabilities, are served. We are looking for filmmakers to create a short film to be shown at our 30th Anniversary Celebration.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Two DVD Copies of the short film and a PSA commercial based off the short film
- The entry Application and the signed Submission Release
- An emailed version of the film to be posted to Spectrum for Living’s YouTube channel and Website. Email to sweiss@spectrumforliving.org
- For Winning Submission Only: DVDs of the raw footage used to create final film
SHORT FILM REQUIREMENTS
All short films must include the following:
Two Spectrum for Living family interviews
Spectrum for Living’s Mission Statement
A mention to Spectrum for Living’s story
Still or moving images of Spectrum for Living
All short films must be at maximum length 10 minutes. All films must include a maximum 4 minute promotional short/or PSA commercial based off the 10 minute film
PROVIDED MATERIALS
Each applicant team, upon application submission, will be contacted for a tour around a Spectrum for Living facility
Two family contacts will be provided to each applicant team to be used for interviews in the creation of the short film
Promotional language (including our mission statement, logo, etc.)
Story development and where each applicant would like to be filmed is to be determined by each team.

CONTEST JUDGING AND AWARDS
All short films will be judged by a panel of Spectrum for Living staff, family members, and clients
All applications will be posted on Spectrum for Living’s Youtube channel and incorporated into the branding of the organization. Only one application will receive the prize money. All videos will have the opportunity to be shown at an event screening at Spectrum for Living’s 30th Anniversary Celebration.
First Place will win $500.
