DIY FILM FEST

hey i have had this idea in my head for a while but i was wanted some opionings on this

i want to put on a small DIY film fest with music and film ,to help raise money for my film do u think its a good idea?would anyone come down to detroit to submit there films,the prizes would probly be slim to none,but something.Its just an idea,give some feedback.

I'd say if you can do it go for it, but get the films sent to you first. You could probably deduct a little of the entrance fee per person to pay to the winner.

1 DOller waters or 50 cents
Pizza Doller a slice

hear are the catogorys of the screening's
3 drama's
3 comedy
3 misc

there will be first and second place prizes for the three listed above
and there will be ONE first place prize for the best movie out of all three catagorys

i am talking to a guy aobut letting me use his space but i need help on other things like what do i need to project the movies?

if anyone wants to help please please replay on this thread.
