Irish Short film

Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum. Just thought I'd share some of my work for feedback. I've finished my latest short, DREAMERS & WEEPERS, earlier this year. Its 25 mins long and I've linked it below in its 3 parts.

"Suffering in recession hit Ireland, Vicky allows financial worries to determine the value of her marriage to Joe. The fragile nature of their relationship is pushed to its limits, with devastating consequences"

The film is micro budget and shot on Mini DV. I chose to present it in B+W as I felt this suited the subject matter. I hope some of you can find the time to watch it.

Thanks.

Derek.

A few things from the start:

Shorten the production credit from 18 seconds to 4.

The begining with the credits seemed like a trailer for some reason... maybe because the construction guy was over acting a bit.

Editing was clean for the most part.

Some trasitions were weak, but mostly good.

Cinematography wasn't bad, but was very bland.

Acting was good, really thought the male lead came off as genuine.

I didn't get to watch it all, but the story seems decent so far.

Hi

I appreciate the feedback.

Just one point on the cinematography. It was intentionally Bland to add to the morbid nature of the story.

This film is now available in full on Vimeo. Ive had to compress the hell out of it to keep the 20 min running time under 500MB so usual degradation occurs.

It's in B+W and intentionally "ugly" in terms of its visual look. As its set in Ireland and things are pretty rough over here economically the entire film is not your usual "Hollywood entertainment" piece.

If anyone wants to give it a look its available at the link below.
