2016 Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival

We are pleased to announced that submissions are officially open for the 35th Annual Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival, running April 7-23 2016! We accept narrative, documentary, animated, and experimental films of all lengths, from all countries.

MSPIFF is one of North America’s largest and longest-running film festivals. In April 2015, Minnesota’s premier film event featured 303 new films from 72 countries with an attendance of over 41,000. The Festival annually attracts more than 250 filmmakers and industry guests to the Twin Cities in Minnesota, providing opportunities for them to engage with audiences and colleagues at parties, events, panel discussions and screenings.

As an added bonus for local filmmakers, projects where at least 50% of production and/or post-production took place in Minnesota are eligible for our Minnesota Made category, which waives the submission fee through the Late Deadline. Only one (1) project per person is eligible for the MN Made fee waiver.

Submissions will be accepted through Withoutabox and FilmFreeway for the the 2016 festival with the following deadlines:

Earlybird: September 1, 2015
Regular: October 15, 2015
Late: November 15, 2015
Extended: December 15, 2015
Withoutabox Extended: December 31, 2015

Notifications will be sent via email around February 26, 2016.
