Submitting & watching Indie Films

If there was a platform similar to youtube where you could upload your Independent film and make money from the views, what would you want to see from that?

Also, on that same platform, if you were a viewer of the independent films similar to Netflix, what options and ideas would you have for that?

Making money from views--- 50% to the uploader, minimum... Also, better organization than youtube has, for example: say you wanted to watch an action short film... you want it to be HD, you want it to be professional, and you want it to be made within the last few years... there needs to be a better way to sub-categorize videos, that way, when someone is searching for something, they don't get a bunch of unrelated shit.

As far as organization goes, you take a clue from the porn servers with numerous subcategories and the ability to sort by several factors, including rating. If you had commercials to cover the cost of viewing (like go player), you wouldn't have to charge the end user. I think that would make your site more attractive to both content makers and watchers alike.
