Flip HD is remarkable

I did a test today. I wanted to see if I could use my cheap flip HD cam as a second camera. My other camera is a Cannon Vixia HF S100. They matched up. look !

I could definitely tell a difference. flip type cameras would be awesome if they had some manual controls.

Spark makes bicycle-riding videos, if I recall?

Flip HD definitely a good call for a cheap camera to strap onto a bike.

Much cheaper to destroy, than a Vixia.

I agree. I have a kodak zi8 and iv jumped out of planes with it. I dont think i would do the same if i owned a canon!

Ahaha you remembered! yeah true, I got a Hero Cam for christmas today, so ill use that for my vids now. But the flip is good to have in a pinch.

Wow

This is really interesting. At work, we have FLIP HDs and I was thinking I need a more expensive camera. Sometimes the Flip doesn't seem to film as sharp as I would like it to. Do you ever find it grainy or fuzzy? I'm a total beginner, obviously.

My flip is prety sharp, maybe you need to hold still or more light.. Avoid the zoom.

With any camera, you must have good lighting. I have the T2i and it will have grain / focus issues if the scene is not evenly lit. I also have a Kodak Zx1 .. takes great video under certain circumstances.

Im going to use the Kodak Zx1 in my current project for some scenes.
