With this URL, one can view another segment of this documentational film, some of which is recorded in actual occurence and some of which is reenacted.

Warning: This segment contains some language that can be considered crude.

Thank you.

I think the idea is really good...looks like it could be funny in a real way....what bothers me is the sound...has a amatuer quality to it (I know it is). It sounds like you just took your fathers camera and started taping...if you do better with the sound - get rid of the echo that would be a good start.
The ho hum mannerism can be quite funny - in a Bob Newhart sort of way. But I cannot get past the cheap sounding sound.
Also the Greek music in the background (or is it Italian?) it sounds way too common.

Thank you for your time and kind words. Other people have spoken about the sound, but I was aware that this would have a home video tone to it and the equipment used for this does fall into that category. The music does indeed sound familiar to me, but I thought it was something the lead character would appreciate it, and some others who have watched the prevue seem to like to the music. Thank you.

Well, for what it is worth, my documentational feature is now finished, unless I have to change, add, remove, etc. anything, at about 88 minutes. I had wanted it to be about 70 minutes, but things can come up in the process. One thing that happened for me is that some of the things that may have appeared to be the simplest of things to do, may have been among the harder things to do. I do not know if anyone else here has experienced this.

I made a second trailer, about 47 seconds long, for the film.

I personally liked the first trailer a lot, but I got mixed feedback about it. I am not sure if people will like or dislike this one more. If the response to this one is not very good, I might remove it.

Thank you.

I do not remember if I mentioned it anywhere on this website, but, not without thanks to at least a couple of other people, the film should have a kind of theatrical premiere November 23 at a university theatre (University of North Carolina Wilmington) in the area.

The description on the theatre's webpage states:

In a vein resembling that of Borat and Napoleon Dynamite, this raw new docu-comedy, filmed on location in the Carolinas, follows the bizarre happenings of oddball teenager Gilbert Garboni as he seeks to become renowned.

Mixing reenacted material and unscripted, unrehearsed interactions with people, the film takes the viewer through multiple vicissitudes as it explores dating, sports, medicine, religion and other topics.

Among the unusual occurrences that ensue look for Gilbert to don an outfit made completely of aluminum foil, interview a proctologist and a former World Heavyweight Champion, find himself trapped in a garbage bag and entertain TV personalities with a glow-in-the-dark ball.

DVD. Runtime: 88 minutes. Predominantly English with Latin segments. Not Rated. The director recommends that the films is for viewers 13 and older.

I hope a pretty good amount of people make it and it goes well.

Thank you for your good wishes.

I should definitely be there unless something major happens.
