The ones on YouTube will show you what the icons do. But, the turorials are weak on technique. It is best to look up and learn computer graphics and basic programming and digital imagery as well. The more you learn other editing and special effects software packages, the better you will learn technique and master Vegas for all it can offer.

Look at some After Effects turorials too. You can do After Effects stuff with Vegas, including greenscreen, ramping up and ramping down motion for motion effects, add glows, and masking.
