To anyone out there who owns a Marantz PMD 661, got a quick question when it comes to Dual Mono. On mine it seems that when I have my preset in Dual Mono mode the left channel is 20 db higher then the right channel, yes I know that is the idea of it all but the question is that on two different occasions it switched on me. the right channle was 20 db higher while the left channel was 20db lower.
All the other times the Left channel was the one that was the highest and the right channel was always -20db lower. why has my unit switched such a thing on me? it doesn't mess with the audio just something like that always gives me a fear of a faulty unit.
