Fluid Head Tripod

I'm looking at purchasing my first fluid head tripod for video. However I was also wanting use this tripod for still photography. I read somewhere that doing photography on a fluid head was not recommended. Can anyone tell me why this is?

It won't be as flexible for photography - photo tripod heads generally have the ability to turn the camera to both vertical and horizontal orientations, while video heads are designed only for horizontal use. If you're shooting photos in a horizontal orientation it'll work just fine.
