Tokina 11-16mm for canon

So i searched this forum and found one post but it was old and didnt give me what i wanted to know.

So the question.

I only have the kit lens and 50mm 1.8

the kit lens hardly gets used and i dont particularly want to use it.

has anyone used the tokina for filming? do you have any links? i looked at youtube for a short while but could only find simple films of outside, what i want is footage used in a film situation even if its just for 10 seconds.

I can currently get it for £359.99

so i can get 18mm if im right or close to it, and then il have my 50mm which will be around 80mm which isnt a problem i just get less image coverage am i right?

so should i get this lens? im not looking for alternatives just examples if you have used it and a yes or no based on your experience why.

Thank you

I have the Tokina 11-16. I use it on my 60D and on my FS100. Don't have any links to post for video. Been using it mostly (lately) for trying to learn timelapse. It's a great lens.

I decided to get the Tokina, based on some articles I had read.

This one about rigging out the fs100 for a film.

And this blog about lens from Philip Bloom

And from things. Read on another forum I read.
