I've sold cameras on ebay and CL but it's been a long time since I've sold one off a regular website. What it the current most accepted etiquette? Seller sends money first? Then buyer sends product? I always did it that way but it's been a while. I'm hoping to avoid paypal fees and again, this would be for a non ebay or non CL sale. Is escrow common? I'm selling about $1000 worth of stuff.

Money first, then product sent is the model I've always used. Though the majority of purchases I've made have either been through some online store-front, or ebay.
