CPM Camera Rigs - New Products

Hello,

We did a little SEO re-work to our URL and are happy to be back as a sponsor of indietalk.com. Just wanted to post up about our most recent products as well as to remind everyone that we still have the 10% discount coupon code to all indietalk.com forum members. Simply type in indietalk.com when you check out and receive 10% off your order. We also have 25% off codes for educational, military and non profit. Email for additional information on those. For people not familiar with CPM we are a Maryland based company; design, tool and manufacture all under one roof in the USA. Our rigs and gear are primarily a carbon fiber filled polycarbonate, a good match to maintain a lightweight DSLR rig. All come with a lifetime replacement warrantee. We have about 25 different rig configurations in stock and ship in stock items within 24 hours of ordering. The most recent additions to our list of components would be our Geared Head. The catalyst for its development was my introduction to the Hollywood Camera Work series of DVD's www.hollywoodcamerawork.us (not affiliated, just love the series) I was struck that between the outstanding visual capabilities of todays DSLR cameras coupled with sound blocking and an understanding of camera movement it was now possible to put the right tools in the hands of the right people and get amazing visual stories. To this end we hope to be a source for low cost gear to help support these amazing next generation of cinematographers;

Saw the ads for your new geared head popping up a few days ago, after that Spielberg thread started. :cool:

Looking at your Sliders... is the CPM Stage 2 the equivalent of the Kessler Pocket Dolly? If so, it's a really good value. (Can't tell for sure, with comparison images missing from the other Stages)

Just wonderin', 'cos a slider is pretty close to next in line.

The main difference on the slider is our method of motion. Instead of the cogged belt style we use a high pitch screw and nut design. The core structure is very similar to that of a CNC mill bed. The powered version can be seen in this video. We are using stepper motors as we want dimensional controll of the travel as well as speed.

NAB Sale prices

NAB might be over but our NAB sales prices are still going on. We also bundled our lightweight offset Noisy Cricket rig with our follow focus for a $150.00 savings.

I have a CPM Bulldog rig and can vouch for it. The quality:Price ratio is pretty hard to beat! The cage components are some of the most useful rig pieces we use.

Thanks Paul. We are really excited about the current group of tools we're coming out with. Couple that with all the camera news coming out for NAB this year and it looks like a great many tools will be in the hands of the next generation shooters!

Holy Jesus-

Do you guys have any stabilizers already or soon to be available?

Funny you should ask, one of customers came back to us with a stabilizer they had designed by basically kit bashing a couple of our rigs and components together. So we are now working with him to design a purpose built stabilizer. Its in the early stages, working on the main mast right now. But we hope to have something in the next 6-8 months. The main stabilizer first, then the support system (steady cam style) later.
