I just wanted to chime in:

Where free examples of contracts are always great (and can be used, though it's wise to have a solicitor check them), investor prospectuses may not be sent out under British law, unless they've been cleared for use by the appropriate bodies. Check out the FSA (http://www.fsa.gov.uk/) for details.

I obviously don't know the laws for all territories (trying to keep up with the UK's is hard enough), but the last thing a budding indie producer needs is a legal issue regarding documentation.
Strict rules are in place to prevent fraud, as well as other crimes, and due to this all documents seeking investment MUST be authorised before a producer is allowed to give them to potential investors.
