I am not a big Tom Hanks fan evethough he is a great actor. But what makes Captain Phillips a super movie are the co-stars. Recent immagrants from Somlia to the USA, the producer simply went to their Somlia village (in the northern USA)and choose them at random. The result, excellent acting with no formal training. Very convincing and scary. I have heard now that the crew of this ship has sued the owners of the vessel as well as Captain Phillips for some abstract Admiralty tort claim. Great studio movie.
