I was looking for a good quality splitter to take a 3.5mm stereo male from the Rode VideoMic to dual XLR inputs going into the Atomos Shogun and I seem to be seeing a majority of 3.5mm male adapters not female. This would work fine if I was putting the Rode microphone into the 5D MarkIII DSLR I am using and then then using the headphone output to get it into the Shogun but I am curious if I would lose audio quality this route since I am assuming the Shogun records better audio than the 5D.
