Im Vicky in the UK, I run a very niche specialist record label (although we have some well known names on the label like Jack Bruce and Todd Rundgren and Steve Hackett) Occasionally I need young film students to enter competitions we have to make short promo films for a track. We always offer some prize money although its modest and will credit. These are albums where there isnt a big budget over and above advances paid and sales are pretty modest but we do like to promote nicely. (its not a "100% needed" but it is something that we like to do when able) We arent asking for full on professionals to spend weeks on anything, more like enthusiastic amateurs/students who are looking to build a portfolio and the chance to win a small prize. We only ask 3 people to actually go ahead based on previous work they link me to and all 3 short films will be shown for a "vote" (usually 3-7 minutes)
I am going to post on a separate posting for one for the new Andy Jackson album with us. Andy is Pink Floyds sound engineer and this is his first full solo album.
