An Over Excess Of Boring Words

If you write a line using boring words, then guess what, it will read as a
boring line. There is no magic that will make the words jump off the page
and slap the reader in the face. In order to grab the reader’s aFenDon, you
have to write in an entertaining and interesDng way.

Jake walks into the room. (we have no idea of his mood)
BeFer alternaDve words:
Jake creeps into the room. (he could be scared)
Jake slinks into the room. (he could be ashamed)
Jake slumps into the room. (he could be depressed)
Jake marches into the room. (he could be confident)
Jake strides into the room. (he could be angry)

Sure are a LOT of these "books"/"pamphlets" floating around the forums lately.
I see the domain pkontogiannis.com offers several different
ebooks/pamphlets including “Learn to Fly” and “Texas Hold’em”.
The domain helpangelzrecommends.com also offers this “free
report”

There there is new member jeosmomm (joined Oct 21) who
mentioned coming across a free eBook on screenwriting. A quick
search found more than 20 domain names lead to the screenwriting
or create your own film book.

If it were me advertising these things, I'd at least offer a meaningful sample of the publication then if you want to tie it in with some e-mail registration thingy it'll at least feel a little more justified.

Yeah, this really should be in promotion. Perhaps the author is not aware that when the advertising is inappropriately categorized, most people feel like they've been duped, and will avoid giving the product any more of their time. But if it's appropriately labeled as an ad (which is not frowned upon), we might actually pay attention to the product you're trying to sell.
