Hi everybody,

My name is Marta and I'm an Italian screenwriter/director wannabe. Yeah, I know. No shame in trying, I suppose - right?
I am actually studying, though, and I intend to do as much as I can to improve and experiment. Intention which brought me here!
I noticed this community and I couldn't help joining. You really seem to be cool people.
Most of the time I'll just be a silent watcher, I think, but never say never.

Italy? Do they have a decent film industry? I imagine they have something?

We do have a decent film industry, indeed - but that's that. It's decent.
The contents we produce here are mainly of two types - culturally relevant movies or rubbish. Aaand the public kind of prefers the latter. So I, of course, am aiming to get out of here for a career of sorts.
But overall, we are not too bad. We used to be better - but I suppose that's true for almost every film industry there is.
