We are looking for completed documentary samples for a possible writer-for-hire opportunity on spec. We are developing a project based on a popular book that will incorporate both non-fiction elements and a dramatized narrative that supplements the subject similar to how it was in the film "What the #$*! Do We Know" (2004). We are seeking a writer who can help organize the structure and write the dramatized sections. This is a spec opportunity, so please only submit if you are willing to write on spec. If we are interested in your pitch, we will request more materials, such as a treatment, that give evidence of your ability to structure documentaries.

2) Kineto Pictures, Inc. - Space Station Survival Scripts

We are looking for feature-length scripts in the sci-fi/fantasy genre – specifically stories taking place on a space station or stranded space ship, and involving survival stories. Please note that we are first looking for treatments before we’ll need any scripts, so when pitching, please include a detailed synopsis, and be prepared to submit a 4-page treatment if requested. A synopsis and 4-page treatment is a very specific need – do not waste your time pitching a synopsis if you won’t be ready to submit a proper treatment later.
Budget will not exceed $5 million. WGA and non-WGA writers may submit.
Our credits include an Emmy nominated PBS kids program called "Signing Time," "Rock School," and "Acts of God."

3) Catsnake – Parkour/Freerunning Scripts
---------------
We are looking for feature-length stories in any genre featuring parkour/freerunning action sequences - i.e. something in the vein of "Banlieue 13," or "Breaking and Entering." Note: Please do not submit if you have submitted to us before. Parkour, or Freerunning, is the physical discipline of training to overcome any obstacle within one's path by adapting one's movements to the environment. It is usually expressed in film in a chase scene, such as in the rooftop sequence in "Casino Royale." Or early Jackie Chan films or Tony Jaa films feature elements of parkour throughout city streets.
Freerunning must be an integral part of the action. The storyline does not have to revolve around parkour specifically, e.g. "The Bourne" series or "Casino Royale" both featured parkour action scenes. The production team includes a very well-known freerunning name who is willing to co-produce and star in the picture.
Budget will not exceed $5 million. WG and non-WG writer may submit.

We are not looking for high-brow dramedy and prefer if it has the buddy comedy aspect to it. This will be for a polish on an existing script. If the sample interests us, we will request the complete script for further consideration. Again, we are only interested in writers in the Los Angeles area at this time.
