Lighting Kit

Not sure if this is the place to post this question.
I did a search on light kits but found alot of other related posts.

My question is about purchasing a lighting kit.

I am looking for a good lighting kit or for a good selection of lights that should
do for shooting digital video indoors in homes or large rooms..

I see the lowell kits but i am wondering if it is better just to buy lights individually instead
of by the kit..


Is there a "lighting" forum or subforum here

I own a basic Britek kit. It's not as sturdy as Lowell gear, but it is cheaper. (Get what you pay for, etc)

Even so, I almost always end up renting additional lights to supplement it in some fashion. (Specifics for the occasion)

Lots of lo-budget peeps build entire, comprehensive kits from Home Depot lighting and a bit of ingenuity. If you search for "Home Depot" on the forums, you should find lots of links to kits like that. :)
