Not talking about that. It's okay if you are affiliated with SDTV, this is in Promotion. In the least you are promoting it, and part of their beta and slack as a "street team" type member.

Anyway good luck to you guys.

The GRMTK Launch  LIVE  Nov.*9!

The GRMTK Launch — LIVE — Nov.*9!
https://medium.com/@SingularDTV/the-...9-945a7767f2a8

"We are also excited to announce that SingularDTV will be selecting projects for launch every Friday until EtherVision is released. Starting Nov. 24 and running until March 30, 2018 SingularDTV will select projects that have created tokenized ecosystems in Tokit and campaign pages on LaunchPad. These selected projects will be released into the cryptosphere. SingularDTV will also be choosing one project every Friday to fund as part of SingularDTV’s channel of original content."

SingularDTV

In the previous theres more info how SingularDTV will work for Gramatik or any other artist:

in short
Gramatik will be releasing 25% of GRMTK tokens via Tokit/LaunchPad to inject his economy with the ETH equivalent of $2.25m. With this $2.25m, Gramatik will ignite his economy by creating music, movies — anything he wants — and placing these creations on his GRMTK distribution channel. SingularDTV will be launching a peer-to-peer distribution platform called EtherVision in Q1/Q2 of 2018. It is here the GRMTK channel will live. With the rest of GRMTK tokens — his reserve — he will use those tokens in the years to come to continually provide content to his channel, presumably for the rest of his career! A more detailed account of Gramatik’s plans will be published on his LaunchPad page before Nov. 9. It is also important to note, that the features allowing for the transfer of royalties will not be activated until content is placed on his platform.

Ah, the artist thinks his tokens are worth 9 million.
Sells 25%, but buyers can't trade them until something gets released?
Or they won't get paid royalties before something gets released?

What do you get when you own a token?
A piece of the royalties?
(In that case the buyer is a share holder.)

The whole use of the word 'token' and the creation of new cryprocurrency is clouding the whole proces to me. Somewhere there has to be added value and return on investment. Otherwise it will just bomb.

please read the previous blog post, It explains the most of it

I think the blog said that they dont get royalties until something is released, but they should be tradeable at the singularx exchange. Royalties are distributed to that token including the 25% sold to public and 75% to artist itself. Atleast this is what I have understood (I not being in SingularDTVs team) will post future updates.

It kinda feels like this marketing strategy mainly targets people who are already bitcoin cryptocurrency holders. Who's going to give money to something that's explained with these newfangled words? It's making my gosh darned bones ache. Where's my nurse? Nurse!

To me it sounds like a way to dodge the need of a broker's licence or oversight by financial authorities. :p

In essence they are selling shares while hoping to ride the wave of the blockchain where bitcoin increased extremely in value.
I might buy a token after an artist made a flop

Esoteric words from 20-25 years ago... "internet", "worldwideweb", "email", "URL", "domain name", "http", and many, many more. Don't stand in the same place. Evolve, grow, innovate and change.

I'm not talking about those words. I already learned those last year!

You could be right.
Why would you buy a token after an artist's flop?

One thing, they could be very cheap then to buy. And if artist next release is a huge success, you could be rich for owning those tokens you bought cheaply.
One aspect of it...
