Short Form Feature “A Patriot Act” Scheduled for Mid-June Digital Release
Orlando, FL--May 7, 2008—With the goal of proving that a small independent company with a good idea can produce, market, and self-distribute, DigitalReel Productions announces a mid-May digital release date for it’s short form feature, “A Patriot Act”.
D. Thomas Laskowski is an innovative filmmaker committed to the idea that digital films are the future of the industry. With several projects in various stage of development, Laskowski is rising to the challenge to provide quality content for the exploding digital revolution.
“A Patriot Act” is a fictional representation of a possible reality. Concern about the possible abuse of the loopholes contained in H.R. 3162, also known as the Patriot Act, prompted Laskowski and co-writer Wendy Keith to create a disturbing scenario where the lines dividing civil liberties and national security become distorted.
Laskowski, who also has operated MohawkPoodle Productions for 20 years, has over 25 years of production experience, most recently as director of photography/camera operator specializing in digital and electronic cinematography. This is the directorial debut for Laskowski as well as the first film to be released under the DigitalReel Productions banner.
