series of short films on a single theme in Feature FIlm

Hi friends i wanted to know can you tell me of few films which were in actual a series of many short film series on one theme and packaged as a feature film? one example is of an indian movie "darna mana hai" which was about few short films beased on the topic of horror? you can see the details here

I also want to know what is the term used for these type of FIlms? if i had an idea i would have tried to search at google.

i didnt had clear words so i write words like
Shorts films on one theme, SHort films in a featue film.but i didnt get correct results. kindly guide me to few movie made on this pattern and the term of these typ of movies too.

I think Quartet in 1948 was one of the first.

....those are the ones I would have suggested!:D

Kwaidan is particularly good, Creepshow and the Twilight Zone movies. The Vincent Price/Poe stories are personal faves.

One more you might like: Tales From The Hood, you can look it up on wikipedia
