Upgrading to HDV... V1 possibly?

Hi,

I am looking to upgrade my Sony PD150 to HDV

I have budget £2,000 max - would consider second hand

I have been researching and at the moment it is looking like the Sony V1 is the best bet

i've been reading about i/p and frame rates but don't really know about it and its confusing!!

Although i know one of these makes fast pans/zooms judder/jerk in the final playback....
We use a consumer JVC Everio HD camera at work, and it records at a funny frame rate and the pans/tilts playback faster than when recorded, and I def don't want that!

Has anyone got one of these V1 cameras? Are you happy with the footage? What are the negatives?

I will be using the camera for a range of things from music videos and other creative work like shorts with funky artistic shots mainly, but also for some corporate work and the occasional live event. I want the footage to look crisp, clear and sharp.

I edit on Avid Xpress Pro and use After Effects

The other camera I have seen people recommend is the FX1000 - I'm not too bothered about xlr inputs as I don't use sound on location often and can always buy a converter cable, but it says it has 'servo focus'...

Thanks a lot
