Thoughts and prayers for Vegas

Hopefully this is a record that we'll never see broken.
It's crazy how these attacks are getting more and more devastating.

And to all the police officers (Including me) that risk their lives to protect and serve the public from threats like this and more.

It's been a tough cupel of weeks for my wife's side of the family; first Maria clobbers Puerto Rico (most of her relatives are still without, uh, almost everything) and now my brother-in-law and his family in Vegas. Everyone is physically okay, but it's going to be quite a while before they are all emotionally and financially okay.

Prayers to all afflicted in the recent months.

I work at one of the hotels on the strip (same place for 24 years, now). I got up at 4am and I was driving to work. I turned on the radio and they were talking about a mass shooting. My first thought was, "what state did this happen in?" Then I heard the details. Truly sad. My hotel is 2 miles from Mandalay Bay. No problems getting in.

I had a long shift, so I just got home and still haven't turned on the TV, but I'm about to. My prayers go out to those affected.
