VIDEO FILE HELP--Pgi to Movie

I recently recorded an hour and a half video on my old JVC SD video camera and the video works fine when watching it on the camera but when I try to upload it onto a computer, only the pgi file shows up. Is there anyway to get a movie file from a pgi file?

The .pgi contains no actual video or audio, only metadata about the associated video file.

Which exact model of camera, and how are you trying to get it into your computer, and with what software/NLE? These specifics will help us help you.
