Anyone Know Anything About The Movie "Santo 7.13.15?"

I'd heard about this anti-gmo indy film a few months back when they were seeking $3 million during a failed Kickstarter campaign. There were a fair number of people claiming that the whole thing was a scam, and that Director/Producer/Writer Robert Everest wasn't even a real person, and yet now I see that they raised over $200k on Indigogo which much set some kind of record for crowdsourcing an indy film.

Anyone here know anything about the movie and/or Robert Everest?

During the fundraising campaigns on Kickstarter and Indigogo he claimed to have produced "several award-winning commercials and the feature-length film "American Progress" but I can find no bona fide info about him at all....makes me wonder if the whole thing isn't a scam. If it is, and the news breaks about it, it could really harm real indy filmmaker's ability to raise funds via crowdsourcing.
