watch Short Film - Live action integrated into a 3D world

This is a short film which I have been working on over the Christmas period. It is about a real life boy who wakes up in a cartoon, medieval world.

The entire thing was shot in front of a green screen, and integrated into the 3D environment.

Originally this was supposed to just be a short film, but I am now considering turning it into a web series. Let me know what you think.

I enjoyed it. I like the music for the most part, especially when walking out the door at 6:35. It actually made me laugh a bit.

The story is interesting and the acting was decent, especially considering the green screen. I liked the pacing a bit more in the beginning and the editing was pretty good in the early scenes. I didn't like when it cut to black as I was expecting it to fade into another image.

Overall, I enjoyed it and thought it was entertaining.

I really enjoyed this and I do want to see more. I do agree with the cut to black comment above. I don't mind the cut to black I just think it could have been a shorter cut. (not that much black)

Anyway you go with it, short or web series. I'd like to check it out.

Cheers!

It's more of a fade to black, but it's at 33 seconds. Because you did several fades before that, I thought you were going to fade to another image. Maybe that would be a good place to add the title of the video?

You're right, that would have been a really awesome place to put a title. I.e "A (director name here) Film"

This has legs - real legs. It wasn't 'amazing' in terms of the story, sound and characters and left a lot to be desired but...

you have something potentially incredible here. If you can get a series together, you could go straight to commercialisation, sell this to television - children or similar.

This has real potential and if you get in quickly, do it well and sell it, you could have something incredible on your hands.

And great green screening, how did you do it?
