I am making a documentary and need to purchase a set of wireless lavs. I am looking for advice on a solid VHF system. We will be filming in cities as big as Houston in the states and will be doing the majority in the Middle East. Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, and Israel. I know the basics on lav mics but don't have experience with them and am looking for those with experience to advise. Thanks.

As always the first question is "what is your budget?"
My first recommendation would be Lectrosonics. The 400 series go for about $1,900 to $2,800, the 100 series about $1,200 to $1,400.
Next would be Audio Technica, $400 to $2,500.

Lectrosonic or Zaxcom if budget allows. I've had luck with the Senn G2 's used them in the US and in South Africa they work good for the price
This is a pretty low budget doc. I am a student so I don't have a lot of money right now, but I do own almost all the equipment I need except for a few things like this. We just started on the project and had someone offer to contribute by purchasing something we needed. Right now I going to say several hundred dollars.
