My partner is looking to purchase a crane and a slider - total budget $1000

Any suggestions?

I bought this a while ago and used it a couple of times only

I also bought 12ft of track and a dolley

Don't get the rubber flexible track. They don't really work all that well. They're bumpy.

I've got one question for you though. I don't know why you're paying an actress $800 to be in your short. I don't know what you want them to do, but I can't imagine paying someone $800 for a short. There has to be a way around this.

And yes. You look fantastic in drag :)

$800 because they need to be topless and I was getting no interest offering $350. I wish I didn't have to pay that much believe me! But this short is really all i want to do with my life so…

Awesome recommendation on the crane, any review of it during those few usages?

What are you putting on it and what sort of shots do you want to pull off? The type of crane and/or dolly you'll need will differ based on your needs.

Yes, Jax asked the most important question of all really. This crane is perfect for DSLR cameras.

I found this crane to be quite useful. Breaks down easy. Comes with a carrying case. Portability is absolutely not an issue. You'll have to buy the weights separately. If you're using all 12 ft, you're going to need more than 25 lbs to balance it. I bought 50 lbs of weight just in case.

I used a DSLR camera, so weight with even a heavy lens was not an issue. For the price, if you're using DSLRs, I think it's unbeatable.

Good luck with the auditioning.
