The WTF Horror Short Film of the Year

Scared of spiders? Just in time for Halloween, we're in the midst of Kickstarting "Silk," the WTF Horror Short of the Year, and we need all the help we can get spreading the word.

Inspired by actual events, "Silk" tells the chilling story of a CIA field operative in Afghanistan who becomes impregnated by a rare desert spider and, in the film's horrific climax, gives birth to a brood of hungry spiderlings that eat her alive from the inside out.

We're using real spiders, we've got a porn star in the lead, and we've just established a $1000 flex goal to help pay for a fully-animated 30-second dream sequence. So, like always, we need all the help we can get.

Ha! your weren't joking....that's definitely my WtF moment for today. I loved the production value though and I also love horror so I backed you! good luck and keep us all posted how it goes.

Looks excellent

There's nothing chilling about that story, and audiences will feel cheated if all you're going to give them is shock value. Also, you should never reveal the entire plot of your film, not here, not on Kickstarter, not anywhere except in your actual movie. The logline "A CIA field operative in Afghanistan becomes impregnated by a rare desert spider" would've been sufficient.
