I was once an avid user of facebook for my private life but due to seeing how much can be seen by "third party" individuals left facebook last year.
Facebook as a tool for social networking with friends is fine but the amount of other content on there is huge ..adverts, pages of rubish etc.

But as it stands facebook could be a great networking tool for film fans and indie film makers and writers from around the world to meet up and share ideas.

What are your thoughts on facebook and should I rejoin it ?

I never put anything on fb that I wouldn't be happy to let the whole world see.

I also use it regularly to publicize my feature, info on screenings and the actors, etc.

Ads have never been an issue for me, because you have to pay for everything, one way or another.
