Call for Entries: Philips Disney Imaginative Lighting Campaign

Philips Disney Imaginative Lighting is looking for talented freelance filmmakers to create video content for their "Bring a Child's Imagination to Life" campaign. Each film must be 15 seconds to 120 seconds long, and capture the imagination of a child. You must recruit a child under 9 years of age to help you write, direct, or act in your short film. The point of the film is to highlight the magic of children's imaginations. This is a great opportunity for student and independent filmmakers to represent a company as large as Philips Disney!

There is $20,000 in prize money that will be awarded to the top 11 entries. The deadline for submissions is February 21st at 4:00 p.m. PST. For more information on the mission of this contest, and to submit your entries, go to http://zooppa.com/en-us/contests/philips-video-contest/brief.

Please also feel free to contact me directly at colette.zooppa@gmail.com with any questions or concerns.

While you are not allowed to mention Philips Disney in the short films, I'd like to give you a little info on the product so that you can better understand your task as a filmmaker. Philips Disney Imaginative Lighting syncs contemporary lighting options with Disney's most classic and memorable stories. As a child is read their favorite story on their parents kindle or tablet, the attached light changes colors to follow the mood of the story. The purpose of the product is to stimulate and enhance children's already impressive imaginations.

This contest is being hosted by Zooppa, a global network for creative talent dedicated to connecting real people with leading brands to create user-generated advertising. We work with leading brands such as Google, Warner Bros., and Got Milk?. We recently worked with filmmakers whose submissions were selected for broadcast and cable television.
