Films that went horribly wrong

Wow I can't believe they covered this up...
Uma Thurman was injured in a car crash while filming Kill Bill

During filming, Thurman accidentally crashed the car into a tree, resulting in severe injures to her neck and knees. "I felt this searing pain and thought, 'Oh my God, I'm never going to walk again,'" Thurman said. "Quentin and I had an enormous fight, and I accused him of trying to kill me. And he was very angry at that, I guess understandably, because he didn't feel he had tried to kill me."

She Says
THE COVER UP after the fact is UNFORGIVABLE.
for this i hold Lawrence Bender, E. Bennett Walsh, and the notorious Harvey Weinstein solely responsible.
they lied, destroyed evidence, and continue to lie about the permanent harm they caused and then chose to suppress.
the cover up did have malicious intent, and shame on these three for all eternity.
CAA never sent anyone to Mexico.
i hope they look after other clients more respectfully if they in fact want to do the job for which they take money with any decency.

Tarantino says

None of us ever considered it a stunt. It was just driving. None of us looked at it as a stunt. Maybe we should have, but we didn't.

Me and Uma had our issues about the crash. She blamed me for the crash and she had a right to blame me for the crash, I didn't mean to do it. I talked her into getting in the car, I assured her the road was safe. And it wasn't. The car might even have been dubious too even if I didn't know that then. We had our issues about it.

Man oh man...

Stunts are serious business.
A Dutch company rejected working on Quantum of Solace when they learnt about the timetable. They deemed it too unsafe, and unfortunately for the ones who took the job, they were right.

If saving money becomes the only priority, dangerous choices can be made :(

Best Stunt Coordination should include in the Academy Awards. People have died while doing some of those stunts and for nothing.

DOP Dies from a giraffe attack.. if anyone has ever seen two giraffes fighting each other you can imagine exactly how it went down.

"Carlos Carvalho was honored in 2014 with an African Movie Academy Cinematography Award for his work on The Forgotten Kingdom. He died after an accident while shooting the ITV series Wild at Heart."

"While shooting a closeup of Gerald the giraffe’s body and feet at the Glen Afric Country Lodge, the animal became “inquisitive” and headbutted him sending him 16 feet in the air and causing massive head injuries."
