You can do it with regular or special "time lapse video cameras." I prefer to utilize photo cameras 95 percent of the time. Photo cams give you more range as well as effect in the finished product.
Excellent choice of shots. All were excellently done. The camera settings on the first 2 were excellent. On the third video you posted I noticed what may have been the auto white balance left on, while you were filming. I have made this mistake before lol. Just remember to keep all your camera settings to manual.

I used a Sony VX2000 and just let the tape run, lol.
I still use videocamera's, but now I can say how many frames per second I want.
I'm curious: I never shot timelapse with a DSLR.
How does one shoot dawn or dusk in a proper way? And still have details in the dark and light parts, without having the night just as light as the day?
