Tails on a film.

The reason why I am asking is because when I try to make a Blu-ray disk version of my film, the first few seconds are being cut off.

An edit I worked with years ago recommended leaving a few seconds of black at the beginning and end of a film in case parts got cut off when it was transferred to different types of media.

I am thinking of adding in a countdown like the following link, so if part of it gets cut off, it doesn't matter.

Have you checked some commercial Blu-rays to see what they do. I was going to, in order to answer your question, but I'm going to work.

Also, what about an FBI or copyright notice and an animated production logo? That way, nothing cuts off your movie.
