Using an imac27 as second monitor?

Hey all. So I'm in the process of building a new machine and with it purchasing a new monitor.

I currently own a 27inch imac and would like to use the display as a second monitor to a colour calibrated UHD 4k montior. Basically i want more real estate and wondered is it possible to use the mac monitor with a pc build and othet monitor?

If it's a separate monitor (I'm not a Mac person), just ensure you have the correct connections to the video card and you *SHOULD* be fine.

Some consider Mac monitors to be a decent cheap alternative for those who cannot afford a proper calibrated monitor for grading.
