first feature shot in 5 years

Directing and Producing first shot tomorrow. I havent been active in 5 years. I just want to know is it normal to get excited and nervous at the same time.

I am just double checking everything. Heck I feel like santa claus. Checking the list twice or even 9 times

I can't comment on whether or not it's normal, but I can certainly tell you you're not alone. I ALWAYS have a crazy mixture of extreme excitement/eagerness, mixed with absolute fear, and it only increases as production nears.

And then, magically, we enter production, and all those nervous/excited/scared feelings somehow translate into pure FUN!

Production is the best! :D

The first few things I shot, I would get a nervous excitement beforehand, and could never sleep the night before day one as I'd always stress about lighting setups etc.

Now, I can't get enough sleep, especially when we have an early call ;)
