Blender is free and can do that..has a learning curve, but very powerful is what I have been told

For all of my 3D texts and objects I use Motion 4 which comes with Final Cut Studio. The 3D function is the same for text and objects. It's essentially faux 3D using ranks of the same object, the more ranks, the higher quality. Plenty of YouTube tutorials on the subject. Also with motion and FCP, when you export a project you can choose setting so the background is not saved, so you can super any objects or text directly into FCP. Should work with FCE and Adobe Premeire too! I'll have to try.
