I have always loved movies; I did a comic strip for the last twelve years about the staff of a movie theater. That's not self-promotion; it has ended. 
I started making non-fiction videos in grad school, and my comics background lead me to do some animation in that, which lead to freelance animation projects for corporate clients... yadda yada yadda... and now I'm working on a proper short film/web series pilot.
