Chromakey - Backlit Background

Hi guys, I've created a chromakey led reading the topic in this forum. I'd like to know if it's possible to create a chromakey by using some lights placed behind a backdrop made of (for example) green cardboard. This way, I could obtain a backlit background without having to illuminate it with frontal lights. I've already tried this method by using sunlight and it worked very well: Sunlight backlight --> background --> person in front of the background and only one frontal light on the subject.

If it's possible, what kind of light should I use? Neon? Or led?

Thanks for now. Bye!

I don't think a backlit chroma screen would work too well, you'd wind up with massive amounts of spill since the light coming through the screen would backlight your subject with that color as well.

If you can't front-light a cyclorama or flat screen, retro-reflective is really the only other viable option
