New 'Skyfall' Trailer Features James Bond, Resurrected (Video)

"Packed with plot details, the Skyfall trailer reveals that M, played by Judi Dench, made the decision to take out her Double-Oh program's agents, but was unable to take down the super-suave Mr. Bond. After a period of living it up in death, Bond returns, to a shaken MI6 foundation and a new source of villainous treachery in Javier Bardem, who with his blond wave may have finally topped the terrible coif that he wore in his Oscar-winning turn in No Country for Old Men."

Continues to look good. But then... trailers... eh... ;)

I'm not convinced that M made any decision to kill any 00 agents. The only thing clear is that she "lost" evidence of her agents' identities, and that she ordered someone to take a shot. But was that person supposed to shoot Bond? Might have been an accident. As far as I can tell from this trailer, M might have been doing her best to protect her agents, but things went wrong.

Holy crap, Javier Bardem is creepy!

What does everything think of the song? I don't particularly like Adele and I find it hard to like this. Her voice just irritates me. Aside from that it seems like a pretty good throwback to previous Bond themes.

I just can't get past my dislike for her voice. She sounds so miserable, I want to slap her.

I love the song. It has a very 60's Bond feel to it - Shirley Bassey/Tom Jones.
Not saying Adele has a voice like them, just that song has that feel.

I've got my reserved seat tickets for opening day!

When the news of the premature leak of this song came to my attention a couple days ago I had no idea who on earth Adele was.
I think the song on its own is fine. Very well done.
A wonderful James Bond opening credits song.

I liked how it builds up, how a suggestion of the "James Bond horns" were worked in around the 2min point, the alternate turn at 3:19, then return to the previous theme with additional grandeur.

I'd give it a B+, as there are other Bond songs I enjoy better.

Only this evening did I bother to go hunt down what else Adele had done.
A few of her top hits I'm familiar with in tune only.
They're very nice, but no so nice that I ever felt compelled to go hunt down who was singing any of them.
I didn't even know they were sung by the same artist.
But I'm a '70s and '80 Rock&Roll guy. I haven't really given a big sh!t about the music scene in two decades. Most of contemporary cr@p the radio's been dumping out has been... cr@p for quite a while.
A musical desert, IMHO. But that's another subject.

I'm also not a big fan of Adele, though more for songwriting not being to my tastes, rather than tonal qualities of her voice. She's good at what she does, I just don't like it. The new theme doesn't really do much for me one way or another. Don't hate it. Don't like it. I think she wasn't a bad choice to do the theme though; she's crazy popular and her stuff is sorta throwback blues stuff anyway. As directorik said, very 60s.

I need to pull out some Tom Jones records now.

It's nice. Definately feels like it has Bond DNA. Not sure what my favorite Bond themes song is. But as far as the films go, the visuals that accompany the songs are often one of the big stars, the high points of them.

I just watched the movie "Skyfall." It was good. Cool. Very different. Beautifully shot.
On the downside: it didn't have (in my opinion) enough action sequences.

Okay, Brits, the wait is killing me. I know there's gotta be a handful of people here who've seen it. How awesome is it!

Only two more days, woohoo!

I asked my two friends to come see Skyfall with me when it opens, but they said they already watched it a few weeks ago online! The industry has got to do a better job of keeping their movies from being leaked!

Great review, Nick! You nailed it.

While other franchises get rebooted, Bond has just been renewed. Old dog, new tricks. I love it!

It was released last week in India. Watched it. Nice movie, and you'll see everything you want from a Neo-Bond flick and everything you basically want from a 'Movie' :)

It was actually really good. Almost as good Casino Royale for me! It does borrow a lot from previous Bond movies compared to CR, which was more different, but almost everything that's borrowed, is done just as good or better here.

I was really disappointed with Skyfall. It looked gorgeous, it has easily the best cinematography of any bond film. The bad guy, was a great character. A problem that I had with Skyfall was, Craig felt like a completely different character from the last two, he makes a joke after something quite horrendous happens. The biggest problem, was the story, it was predictable, it went from A to C with no interesting reveals or twists. It has a great opening, but nothing comes close to that during the rest of the film. To sum it up, Home Alone Dies Harder
