Disney will release the original cut of Ep 4-6.

Disney has plans to release the original cut of the Star Wars trilogy on Blu-ray. Our sources indicate that the project has been under way for quite some time, but it’s been challenging because of some damage to the original negatives they are utilizing. The goal is to release A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, and Return of Jedi in their complete, unaltered, original form without the redone special edition SFX.

Wonderful! Now I can watch them without that CGI garbage that has been put in.

It should be noted that Lucas never wanted Greedo to shoot first, but when he resubmitted the film for the 20th Anniversary rerelease, the ratings board threatened to bump it up to a PG13 if he didn't change that scene. Not wanting to lose the film's original PG rating, he really had no choice but to do what he did. If you want to blame someone, blame the ratings board for being stupid. And watch the documentary "This Film Is Not Yet Rated". That should tell you all you need to know about how they operate and it's kind of depressing.
